Micro-D Micro-D Twist-Pin Connectors offer uncompromised performance in a microminiature package. These M83513 products are fully intermatable with Cannon MDM connectors. Suitable for applications requiring reduced size and weight, these MIL-DTL-83513, BS9523F0002 and BS9524F0013 approved products serve in missile systems, avionics, battlefield gear, radar and other demanding military and commercial applications. Glenair's Micro-D connectors are equipped with a unique TwistPin contact system. Not only is the TwistPin more rugged than a stamped pin, it also provides a superior wire attachment, which translates to lower contact resistance. The TwistPin's sleeve allows a gas-tight crimp, ensuring excellent tensile strength and low circuit resistance. The development of the TwistPin contact has allowed a wide range of commercial and military customers to design extremely small interconnect wiring systems with no compromise in performance. Glenair's TwistPin contact has passed the stringent British Standards 9523 and 9524 for microminiature connector contacts.
Series 80 Mighty Mouse The Series 80 “Mighty Mouse” Connector is designed for high-reliability commercial and military interconnect applications that require both robust environmental performance and reduced size and weight. The Series 80 “Mighty Mouse” Connector offers virtually equal performance to MIL-DTL-38999 Series interconnects with up to 71% (weight) and 52% (size) savings for similar contact layouts. From 3 to 85 contacts.
