PFLITSCH LevelEx Explosion-proof ATEX Cable Gland

The LevelEx cable gland for non-armoured cables and the LevelEx AC gland for armoured cables are used to insert a cable or line into explosion-proof electrical equipment (terminal compartments) of protection types „d“ for flameproof enclosure, type „e“ for increased safety and type „t“ for protection by enclosure. The types of protection achieved are IP 66 and IP 68 (at 10 bar for 1 hour). In the case of the LevelEx AC, the external sealing ring provides additional deluge tightness.
On metric versions, an o-ring seal is integrated on the connection thread as standard.
Operating temperature range:
Silicone –60 °C to +130 °C.
The LevelEx cable glands Ex d are available with various connection threads:
M-connection thread standard, EN 60423
NPT-connection thread, ANSI/ASME B1.20.1

Special conditions:
When using the pressure screw without a strain-relief pressure screw, only permanently installed cables may be inserted. The operator must ensure appropriate strain relief. Type of protection IP 66/IP 68 is only attained if the seal and the cable glands are properly assembled. The manufacturer’s instructions must be observed.
