Summary

MS3476W20-24S, Straight Plug, MIL-DTL-26482 Series II, Olive Drab Cadmium with Aluminium Alloy, Shell Size 20 with 24#20 Socket Contacts

MS3476W20-24S, MIL-DTL-26482 Series II is a medium-sized environmentally-resistant connector series with a bayonet coupling system and crimp rear insertable, rear releasable contacts. With a recommended operating voltage of up to 1,000 VAC (RMS) at sea level, this connector assures a quick positive coupling through its 3 point bayonet system. Users can easily confirm the complete coupling visually, eliminating the possibility of mismating through its five key/keyway design. Contacts are inserted and removed from the rear of the connector, ensuring no damage to the front that may affect sealing characteristics. Utilising the same standard qualified rear-release type plastic tool for contact insertion and removal, the contacts are qualified to SAE AS39029** requirements. They are BIN coded (three color bands) and crimped with standard crimp tools per MIL-DTL-22520. Grommets are constructed with tear-resistant elastomer that experiences no degradation even when exposed to a broad range of fluids. It assures sealing over a range of wire diameters through its triple webbed grommet at the rear of the connector. The connector’s closed entry socket side of the insert features a lead-in chamfer and a hard face that will accept a pin contact bent within pre-established limits. It also boasts an elastomer interfacial seal on the pin side with raised barriers around each pin that displace into the socket chamfer when mated, providing a positive moisture seal.
