KC2100 Series

The KEC KC2100 Series, is an EMC Circular Backshell specifically designed to deliver high levels of EMC screening and environmental sealing, including TEMPEST. This backshell is suitable for all standard circular connectors and offers proven IRIS spring technology for overall screening.

In addition to overall screening, individual screening is provided through a slotted tube and braid kit, while cable sealing can reach up to IP68 depending upon the selected ‘O’ ring seal option. Teeth on the backshell body mesh with connector teeth for a positive lock, and blind teeth provide increased screening capability.

The KEC KC2100 Series is an ideal solution for fibre or mixed fibre and copper cable, providing EMC screening and protection for the fiber. And with no special tools required and the ability to be easily reworked, it delivers convenience and flexibility to any installation.

The backshell’s blind teeth offer increased EMC screening with an internal taper for enhanced environmental sealing with the connector. And the overall environmental seal is equal to or higher than the IP rating of the connector, ensuring maximum protection against environmental factors.
