KC2300 Series

The KEC KC2300 Series, an EMC Circular Backshell designed for the highest levels of EMC screening, including TEMPEST. This lightweight and compact backshell is suitable for all standard circular connectors and features a proven iris spring termination system for overall screening.

Individual screening is achieved through a slotted tube and braid kit, making it an ideal solution for fiber and mixed fiber and copper cable assemblies providing EMC screening and protection for the fiber. And with no special tools required and the system easily reworked, installation is quick and easy.

Teeth on the backshell body mesh with connector teeth for a positive lock, while blind teeth provide increased EMC screening with an internal taper for enhanced environmental sealing with the connector. The KC2300 Series also offers additional environmental sealing of the cable system by a heat shrink boot, providing an environmental seal equal to or higher than the IP rating of the connector.
