Screening is achieved through a reworkable band clamp for overall screening, while individual wire screening is accomplished by the interwoven braid and slotted body. Assembly is made rapid and easy with no special tools required, and rework is a breeze.

The backshell body features teeth that mesh with the connector teeth for a positive lock, along with blind teeth and an internal taper for increased EMC screening capability and enhanced environmental sealing with the connector. An additional environmental seal is provided by a heat shrink boot for maximum protection.
