The 8D Series of circular connectors is designed to withstand requirements of industrial, military and aerospace applications, built to MIL-DTL-38999, EN3645 and BACC standards, meeting or exceeding requirements for durability and performance. The 8D series is the most advanced circular connector range in the Eaton Souriau MIL-DTL-38999 Series III series, promoting high contact density, quick screw coupling mechanisms and high resistance to harsh environments. Connectors within this range can accommodate up to 128 #22D contacts with a range of contact types including PC Tail, Crimp, Solder Cup, Wire Wrap, Quadrax, Coax, Twinax, Triax, ELIO Fiber Optic and Expanded beam. With five materials and platings to choose from including Aluminum, Composite, Stainless Steel, Titanium and Bronze.

Hermetic MIL-DTL-38999 Series III Type Connectors
The Hermetic 8D Series consists of receptacle connectors with threaded coupling system designed to withstand harsh environments within aerospace applications, built to MIL-DTL-38999 and EN3645 standards, meeting or exceeding requirements for durability and performance. The Hermetic 8D series consists of Eaton Souriau and Detoronics, who both supply equivalents to the Mil-Spec Hermetic range. Hermetic connectors feature glass-fused inserts to create an airtight seal, compatible with all D38999 Plugs. The Eaton Soruiau 8D Series features signal and power contacts up to size #4 with Square Flange Receptacle (8D0), Solder Mount Receptacle (8D1), Weld Mount Receptacle (8D4) and Jam Nut Receptacle (8D7). The Detoronics DJLT Series includes Solder Cup, Eyelet and Feedthrough Contacts with Square Flange Receptacle (DJLHT21), Solder Mount Receptacle (DJLHT25), Weld Mount Receptacle (DJLHT27) and Jam Nut Receptacle (DJLHT23)
